Sgt. Enka Polie vom Porsche-Roush CD
![]()

I was Born on January 13, 2002 in Peck,
Michigan. For the first eight weeks of my life, Sandy Roskey took great care of me
at the Wind Dancer Kennels. If
you are ever considering a German Shepherd dog (GSD), I would strongly suggest
using Wind Dancer Kennels. They
brought me into this world and treated me and my brothers and sisters with lots
of love.
My parents are from some of the best German working lines. You can see my pedigree by clicking HERE. On April 1, 2002 I became certified with the American Kennel Club (AKC). I am very proud of my doggy parents and their pedigree.
On March 7, 2002 I was shipped to my new home in south Florida.
My new parents, Rich and Erinn
named me Enka, short for Sgt. Enka Polie vom Porsche-Roush. My name comes from a
few different things in my parent's life. For instance, "Sergeant"
comes Erinn's brother who was a Sergeant United States Marine Corps. The word "Polie" comes from
the phrase "Rolie Polie", which my parents called me when they first
saw me because I was a little round fur ball. My last two names come from my two
favorite cars, Porsches and Roush
Mustangs. Unfortunately, I do not care for cars that handle well so
my parents bought me a new Toyota Sequoia SUV. I have all the room I need to stretch out
now!
Speaking of travel, I can usually be found with my parents
whenever they travel. Before we go anywhere, we always visit our favorite
animal-friendly travel guide on the web, PetsWelcome.com.
There you will find all of the hotels, restaurants, parks and beaches across the
US that are dog friendly. Of course, whenever we travel we first visit the vet
and I love my vet. Her name is Dr. Michelle Durkee and she runs the West Palm
Beach Animal Clinic located on Military Trail, just north of Okeechobee
Blvd. If you live anywhere near West Palm Beach, Florida, you should definitely go see
Dr. Durkee.
I
am currently Titled in Obedience with my CD. I also work very hard at agility
too. The next sport I plan to take up is Schutzhund! Schutzhund
work concentrates on obedience, tracking and protection. One day, I am hoping to
get a SchH title.
Professionally, I like to help my parents run their private real estate business, The Cowell Group. When they are showing property, I make sure they are safe by watching them closely. If they should ever call me, I am always ready to protect them with my life. In other words, NEVER try to harm either of my parents or else you will have me to deal with....
In my free time (which is just about all the time) I absolutely love to SWIM. I love to jump into pools, lakes, canals and of course, the ocean! On the weekends, when I am not helping my parents at the track, I can usually be found in the ocean or in my grandmother's canal in Key Largo, FL.
My daily routine
varies but a few things never change. After a morning of chasing Chloe, I am fed
a raw diet of fish and vegetables each morning. My parents and I believe this is currently
the best dog food because of the ingredients. I am also fed Peppy
Tabs, which we believe are the best multi-vitamin and mineral supplement
currently available.
I am fed raw chicken because it is without a
doubt the best food for large dogs. Many of the best breeders in the US and Europe
feed their dogs raw chicken because a dog's body utilizes chicken more
effectively than processed food. Don't worry, dogs are immune to salmonella. Some
of my other favorite foods include bananas, fish, carrots, oatmeal and most
fruits and vegetables.
Below is me and my mom at our first AKC Obedience Show. We placed FIRST in class in all of the Obedience Shows we entered and on February 1, 2004 I became titled with a CD.

Here are some more pictures of me and my friends and family.

I sure do love to swim!

...and agility too.

Lastly, each night before I go to bed, I say
A Dog's
Prayer.
