OUR WEDDING

WyomingFlag

In July, 2003 Erinn, Enka and I jumped in to our SUV and embarked on what was to be the most memorable summer of our lives. We left Florida and headed out to our summer residence in Park City, Utah. After we had gotten settled in for the summer, we started to think about planning the "next step" in our lives.

We  both knew we wanted to get married out west in either Utah, Wyoming or Montana and we wanted a small and private ceremony. Since we did not want the hassle of a large wedding, we could not have many or our family and friends attend on such short notice. This meant it was going to be just Erinn, Enka and I (as long our our mothers agreed, of course!) After a little planning, we took off  and decided to head further north on a four-day adventure to Saddlestring, Wyoming. As it turns out, a close friend managed a large dude ranch called The HF Bar Ranch. After arriving, we knew we had chosen the perfect place for us to get married. Located just outside Buffalo, Wyoming, The HF Bar Ranch borders the Big Horn Mountain Range and National Forrest. Absolutely breathtaking!!

After scouring and country on horseback for 2 days, we finally found the perfect place to have the ceremony. Located at the bottom of two mountains, we found a secluded stream hidden in a heavily wooded area. There was a huge rock formation on one of the stream and a place to tie down the horses on the other side. There were rocks all throughout the stream with one larger, flat rock in the middle. Once we saw that rock, we knew we had found the exact spot.

After a phone call to the local minister in town as well as the only photographer in Buffalo, we set the date for the very next day. We also asked one of the wranglers at The HF Bar Ranch to come with us since we needed a witness. The next morning, we woke up and rode our horses out to the spot we found together along with the Minister, the Photographer and the Wrangler. Needless to say, the next three hours was pretty magical.
