The picture above is on top of a mountain in northern California. The drive to the top is one of the greatest religious experiences a sportscar driver can have. Once you have driven the 30 minutes of constant hairpins and switchbacks to the top, not only will you will be met with a sunset like this, but there is usually a bevy of sportscar drivers and bikers awaiting the return trip to the bottom. Want to know where this road is? Join one of our convoys and we will show you, or you can just check below.

As you can probably see for yourself, one of Bluemaxx Racing’s biggest passions is driving. Sometimes this journey takes us on roads that are even better than the track event we are traveling to. Wherever we go, we love to convoy with as many sports cars as possible. Not only does it make long trips go by quickly but we always take the most interesting routes. At Bluemaxx Racing, one thing is for sure; none of us care for highway driving (unless it is on the Autobahn, of course). We would much rather take the "scenic route" instead. Sometimes, this may take a little longer than the most direct route, but most of the time the rewards are nothing less than spectacular! For most of our trips, we try to plan exciting journeys on roads that are full of switchbacks, hairpins and deserted straight-aways, perfect for those of us who are driving good handling cars.

Sometimes, we take roads that are not recommended for the faint of heart too! These roads need to be driven ONLY with a 4WD vehicle. When we take these roads we bring a lot of extra water and safety equipment in case we get stranded or something worse happens. These trips are always the most fun because they are rarely planned and always take us through extremely adventurous territory that is not always passable.
